Meet The Healing Libra

Everyone has a story to tell, this is mine 💚

Shelly has been connected with spirit since she was very young. Throughout the years Shelly learned to connect with past loved ones, and read energy.  As a natural intuitive, she quickly found her passion in energy healing.

"I have always been in tune with the spirit world from a very young age. I was raised by deaf and hearing impaired parents and I believe it heightened my senses which connected me better to spirit. My earliest memories of seeing spirit was around the age of 4. I remember asking my brother if he could see them too and said he could, so I thought this was normal. 

However, when I would mention it to others they would tell me that spirits didn't exist, or they were negative, or else they would lay blame to a wild imagination. I eventually learned to keep it to myself until a spirit had scared me so badly (and when I mean badly not evil just they would pop in whenever they wanted) that I shut them all out and was petrified to see them, although from time to time they would still present themselves. I continued throughout life avoiding and ignoring spirits until one day a major event happened to me.."

In January 2012, Shelly collapsed. 

"My heart had stopped beating. Even though my heart was no longer pumping, I was still alert. I watched as people were working hard to revive me. I followed the EMT's as they wheeled me by stretcher to the ambulance where they were ready to transport me to the hospital. Once at the hospital, I stood observing the nurses and doctor(s) taking my vitals and hooking me up to all sorts of devices and machines. I felt confusion beginning to creep up on me, feeling that something wasn't quite right as my brother waited helplessly in another room. I stood at the end of my bed, watching my still body being comforted by my distraught brother. Suddenly, it was like a light switched on and I was back in my body, holding my brothers hand. I didn't know at the time, but what had just occurred to me was my first out of body experience. 

 With that experience, it had awakened me with spirit again. They became coming around again, showing themselves to me, and with them came back my fears. I tried shutting out the spirits, only this time they didn't listen. They kept trying to communicate with me so I decided I needed to learn to communicate with them.”

Shelly then attended a healing workshop to see what it was all about and that class was pivotal for her.

“ It brought out the purpose I had buried deep within me; I was meant to help people with my gift. I took my leap of faith and entered a year long course through the Association of Spiritual Healers of Alberta. The more training I did, the more it solidified my beliefs that I was meant to do this. This also helped me on my journey to Reiki. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with my gifts until we had moved to Lethbridge, Alberta but then a friend of mine had recommended a spiritualist centre there. I had gone and attended an orientation class on mediumship and it opened my eyes to spiritualism. Wow! I felt like I belonged!”

Which brings Shelly to where she is today.

" I do believe things happen in your path for a reason. I had started to learn more about spirits with others and taking advice from other people like me."

Throughout the years, Shelly has now been trained in level 1 and level 2 Reiki. She has studied Sound Healing and Meditation and most recently Shelly was certified in Hypnotherapy in 2022. Shelly loves working with energy and helping people take a different approach to inner healing, physically and emotionally. She uses a variety of healing modalities and tools including Reiki, crystals, sound therapy (singing bowls, tuning forks), tarot cards and more! Shelly works with Spirit & Animal Guides, Angels, Ascended Masters, Light Beings to provide you with the best healing session possible.

After a few years of harnessing her talents in Lethbridge, Shelly is now located in Sherwood Park, Alberta. 

All of Shelly’s services are now performed at a beautiful space called “Balance Wellness”. Not only has Shelly curated a list of offerings for her clients, She has also created a small shop of items exclusively found in her space. Shelly personally has connected with these special items over the years; gemstones, candles, sprays, smudging tools and most exclusive, handmade jewelry by Shelly herself!
